Its location was ideal, with convenient access from the airport and easy proximity to downtown Palm Springs. We especially loved the pool and hot tub, and the many picture-perfect spaces throughout the property. It truly offered a relaxed, resort-like atmosphere.
The decor and large kitchen, kitchen table and couch made our stay so comfortable. We have never seen such a stocked kitchen and house!
The amenities were excellent and made the stay really comfortable. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive the entire time, which made everything easy. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay here again!
Our party consisted of 4 adults and 4 children and the accommodations were perfect. The location was a five minute drive from town and in a very quiet neighborhood.
The house was very spacious, had many amenities, and was very clean. There were great spots inside the house and around the pool. It was a perfect spot for a friends reunion.
Beautiful, quiet neighborhood, spacious and comfortable home, lovely pool for swimming and playing, very clean, kind and communicative hosts.

We loved the spacious house with its beautiful furnishings, large pool and stunning mountains in the distance. This place was perfect for children and adults alike to cook, relax and enjoy some special time together.
Everything was clean and comfortable. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. We appreciated the labels on all the light switches and the detailed “house manual”.
The pool area was absolutely stunning and spanned the length of the house. There was also a waterfall feature and beautiful pool lights you could turn on. There was plenty of lounging space both inside and outside to relax.
We loved everything about our stay at the house. It was spacious, comforting, very clean. So many amenities, pool, hot tub, ping pong indoors. Beds were super comfy.
The bonus ping pong room is so fun to have! Cornhole, hot tub and pool! Access to full laundry room. Literally any time we said “I wonder if they have…” they did!

A Howard Lapham House
Built in 1971, The Orchid House is part of Orchid Tree Lane Estates, the Sunrise Park neighborhood conceived by Palm Springs architect and designer Howard Lapham. Its low profile, open rooms, and easy flow to the pool carry the spirit of his Desert Modern work.
Lapham began developing Orchid Tree Lane Estates in 1966 as its designer-developer, with Coble & Wessman Construction Company bringing the homes to life. The Orchid House belongs to the estate’s 1971 chapter, designed for the particular Palm Springs rhythm of bright mornings, long pool afternoons, and dinners outside.
Born in Oklahoma City in 1914, Lapham arrived in the Coachella Valley from Connecticut in 1954. He brought a hands-on background as a carpenter, draftsman, contractor, land planner, and architect, then spent the next three decades shaping homes, resorts, banks, medical buildings, storefronts, and residential neighborhoods across the valley.
He worked alongside Palm Springs modernists William F. Cody, E. Stewart Williams, and Donald Wexler, building a reputation for inventive design, sharp wit, and a trademark cigar. Lapham kept working into his 90s, and his 1956 Desert Star Apartments earned Class 1 historic designation in 2016. The Orchid House remains one of the places where his vision for everyday desert living still feels wonderfully intact.
